About Me

Momentary I'm living in my appreciated hometown Berlin, while still finishing my Master(thesis) in Educational Psychology at the University in Tübingen.

Afterwards continueing in science by doing a PhD, is likely.

Some of my characteristics are: to be focused on making new experiences – which is from my point of view very important for self-development. Thus I'm open minded for new things even if they seem to be far from the norm.
Not less important is to reflect about oneself and notice the world around carefully. Something which can be enriched by making "theoratical experiences" through new knowledge, e.g, studying amazing ideas/theories/discoveries.
...finally comparing one's observations with the ideas one had, thus updating one's believe system!

So even I tend to think very systematically and logical in many cases and behave rational, I'm very confident not to lose my capability of letting myself go and just enjoying the moment, skipping analysing or intellectualizing where appropriate.
In fact, for me both ways/extremes of thinking/experience to combine or at least balance is a highly valued way for (handling) life.

In words of a general philosophical view:
Life is full of great, exciting, amazing feelings, thoughts and things to do.
Everybody needs his own way to get happy (although sharing many fundamental desires).
It would be a great world, if everybody would get the possibility going that way. I think me and most of those who read this text have the potential obtained/received.
But the tricky part is to develope in fact the mind-set, the reasonable mental strategies and the motivation to go on and go on, being ready/willing for changes and maintaining a healthy optimistism – those qualities are rare to find ... (never said it would be an easy way to go ...may to understand as a life-long process).

Music, Movies, and Books

To name at least a few good movies: Herr Lehmann, The Straight Story, The Cider House Rules (Gottes Werk & Teufels Beitrag), The Godfather (Der Pate) I-III, Clockwork Orange, Memento, Léon, I Kina spiser de hunde (In China essen sie Hunde)... [long time no update]

I love to listen to oldies, (punk) rock, some pop (→rockpop)... but well, mainly I've got used to listen to electronical music, which became in the last decades the main music in clubs. Which was in the beginning tricky for me, but quickly I got used to it and have to agree, that the quality is high and has nothing to do with techno/Ballermann-music. (to name one favourite DJ: Parov Stelar)
Music is a magical, fantastic element, however I'm in no case a permanent listener – also enjoy silence!

My readings are mainly concentrated on (popular) scientifical literature. Because the world of science is very exciting and colorful, I don't think I miss a lot by that. However, I would like to find time also for novels and other stories.
