About Me

ABOUT ME

Martynas is the best kind of person to put on your couch for a couple of days. He does not make much noise, neither does he snore (as far as his qausi-friends are concerned) and he simply looks nice on your couch. What is more Martynas can tell you a story that you have never heard before. And many many things alike.
So. Do not hesitate to host Martynas.

PHILOSOPHY

well, I am not sure about that.
I find this section irrelevant, like any abuse of the word 'philosophy'.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host whenever I can, and also I have met many ppl via CS, my guides and my hosts, and some people I hosted myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We were hitch-hiking in France and Spain and even though we did not manage to find any hosts, we at least felt safe knowing that CS could always save us. It never did, but it felt good nevertheless and so we could set ourselves out on a crazy journey.

Another time I was very fond of being shown around Hong Kong. For I had a plane change there with around ten hours gap in between. So, CS helped me to find a bunch of people who arranged me a quick HK night tour.

Finally.. we were short of furniture in our new flat in Malmo, so once I came across an adv., where somebody was giving away a red couch.. Hence we ended up having a new red couch (for a while).

Interests

Hitch-hiking is a lot of fun. I like it a lot because that allows one to get away from self-slavery. One is no longer self sufficient, but exposed to pure chance or luck.. or anything. Buth recently I have been caught up with other things too intesely, so it has been a while since I have done that last.

Movies are, however, also fun whenever one cannot hitch-hike. I believe, one has to cultivate ones movie tastes to get a picky eye.. not to make it a wasteful experience.

When either of the options above are left behind, I sometimes like to hold some random stuff in my hands. Be it a bottle, a pencil or a book. I find the action of holding a book the most engaging (also going to bookshops(especially second hand!), buying them and putting them on a shelf). Though I more often hold them in my hands than actually read them. I think that must be some kind of a mental problem of a men (maybe even a man). The need of a box of tools, or a bookshelf.. so that just to be content of being in possession and control.
