Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to strive, to seek, to find (luchar, buscar, encontrar)
ABOUT ME
I love meeting new people and hearing their stories, which is one of the big reasons I enjoy traveling so much. I'm an academic, so by default I'm a bit of a nerd. But I'm also laid-back and am always looking for an adventure (also always looking for good food, good conversation and good company).
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life with compassion and intention.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far my participation has been spreading the word about couchsurfing to fellow travelers, hosting folks from time to time, and attending cs meetings.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was introduced to couchsurfing by a friend who swore it was the best way to meet people while traveling. She talked me in to joining and I haven't looked back since.

The prompt says to list anything that I'm interested in...in the interest of saving space I'll limit this to the first few things that pop in to my head: music, literature, languages, swimming, martial arts, dancing.

Teach, Learn, Share
Esoteric knowledge? Would you like to learn about theories of comparative politics or international relations? Or postmodern literature? I can help you with that. But I could also teach you the basics of horseback riding, horse training, or dog training, or give you a brief lesson in self-defense, or the basics of Argentine tango. I'd really love to learn to be a better cook, I want to learn to surf, I want to learn to dance salsa and samba, and I'd love to pick up any random skills that might come my way. I also love to learn languages, especially local slang.
