ABOUT ME

Well I am positively interested in everything, at any given time, and I love to learn. I am a fanatic over the American beat generation, surrealist art (Magritte, Dali), thrift stores, Dada, indie music and oldies, Ents, and swinging. My favorite places are libraries or used bookstores. I love talking on random tangents, and seek people that are constantly amazed by the world. It's boring when people get stuck in ruts and forget to change once in a while.

I like to learn about different philosophies, especially if they can be found in novels. My dream is to teach at the university level or work at a large and respectable library, such as The Huntington or The British library, and repair old, historical books. And write a few myself.

PHILOSOPHY

There's a lot out there, and it isn't going to come find you cooped up in a little room.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to a concert with Jen from San Francisco and we had a lot of fun eating pie and watching The Magic Bullets. And then I met Mike when he stayed in Fairbanks for the summer and we went to a poetry slam, a 4th of July parade, a coffeehouse, and a Citizen Cope concert! Then, amazing times in Alicante, Munich, Barcelona, Paris, Napoli, Glasgow! And more to come I am sure :)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

The Aurora Borealis. The midnight sun. Mt. McKinley. Saul Williams, Ken Arkind, Mike McGee, Andrea Gibson performing slam poetry.
International Ice Art Competition. Dog sledding. Warm bubbles and boiling water freezing in mid-air. Most things I do on a daily basis amaze me.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Go to Alaska. Visit in the summer. It's an amazing place and I am so happy I grew up there. Bring lots of insect repellent.
