My name is Kristen, and I’m a 46-year-old traveler. I grew up in Florida,but have spent most of my life living in Canada. This September, I’ll be taking a long-awaited solo trip through Europe—a dream come true! I’ll be exploring several countries slowly and intentionally, soaking up culture, beauty, and meaningful connections along the way.

I’m a mother of three boys, a writer, and an online English teacher with a big love for stories, books, vintage treasures, cozy cafés, and beautiful old towns. I adore soft mornings, good conversation, and cooking or baking together when the opportunity arises. I’m especially drawn to places with romantic, fairytale charm and kind people.

This will be my first time using Couch surfers in many years and I’m so grateful for the chance to connect with others. Safety and heartfelt connection are important to me, and I love the idea of sharing space with someone generous and open.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I was on hospitality club years ago and loved it. I was very active on there and had great reviews and credentials. Unfortunately, they must have closed. I didn't notice because I was busy raising and homeschooling kids. Now they are old enough to do without me for a month. So, I am ready to to get my wish of travelling all over Europe and beyond.
I am hoping to have many safe and fun adventures while I meet a variety of wonderful people from around the globe. When I am able to be in a position to have an empty room, I will open up to hosting again.

My favorite movies are : Somewhere in Time, The Count of Monte Cristo, and many others. I like mysteries, historical fiction, etc.
My favorite books are : East of Eden, The Great Gatsby, etc. I never stop reading.

My favorite music these days: Lana Del Rey, Lord Huron, etc... I also love rock and roll, Rastafarian, . etc. I love all music and I love to dance.

I have written a book called "Gardening in The Maritimes" last year and I am in my last year of University. I used to be a makeup artist before kids. I used to work for Estee Lauder as a Manager when I lived in Monterey, California. I have moved to different countries alone. I have raised and homeschooled 3 boys . I also had a Vega n Fudge business for awhile. I love experiences, so I have done many things!

I have been teaching English on and off for a long time, but constantly since Covid. I have lived in Florida, California, Taiwan, B.C., Canada and now N.B., Canada. The region I live in is called the Maritimes. I am on the border between the Main, US and NB, Canada.
