Overview
About Me
Grew up on a small island in the Caribbean, now living in western Europe! I'm always up for a challenge, an adventure or whatever keeps my brains curious. I was in the scouting for a big part of my life where I got the opportunity to learn how to adapt, overcome and 'survive' any situation. I adore love water sports, as well as some volleyball or beach tennis. I'll get along with anyone and try to never pick sides!
I'm happy, I feel like I have it good, not financially as i'm still a student, but I feel comfortable with who I am. I like to put myself outside of my comfort zone with the purpose of learning. It's hard to leave your home for solo-traveling in countries you've never been before, but to me it always paid off. I try to push myself to learn, listen, see just take a step back once in a while to appreciate and reflect.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Honestly it's to get in touch with locals and particularly in small towns and cities. When I travel there is nothing nicer to me to being either in nature or in a small cozy town in the middle of nowhere having a beer and talking to locals.
This might be weird, but I also like to see how people in different countries live, how they arrange their homes, how they decorate it, amuses me haha.
Interests
I like be able to do everything myself, I like to cook, I like to fix broken things, ya know? I like to get to know people, not just who they are but how they tik, know what makes them get out of bed in the morning. I have in interest in languages and words, the whole idea of words and languages is interesting and to an extend humorous to me.
I love the sea, I like water sports. Whenever i'm on Aruba I dive, snorkel a lot, bodyboarding, skimboarding, kneeboarding, skiing. I have an interest in hiking quite a bit, I think it's awesome how people can walk for 8-10 hours with minimal effort. Yes it does tire you down, but most anyone in relatively ok shape can do it and it's extremely rewarding.
I have an interest in how the brain works, im no neurobiologist in any sense of the word but topics like the effects of hormones on the brains, addiction, gender identity and sexual orientation, Alzheimer and so on fascinates me.
