About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience life, to learn about the world and myself, and to meet incredible people

ABOUT ME

I'm overly easy to please. The simple things in life make me smile. I love to read and travel more than doing about anything else.

PHILOSOPHY

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. You will get back what you put into this life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't know. This is new to me, and I hope to participate by sharing my abode, and allowing kind souls to share theirs

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met so many nice people in my travels. When I meet out-of-towners in my home town, I love to show them the ropes and offer a place to stay. Many people have helped me out along the way, so it is the least I can do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen and done so many amazing things. Maybe one day I will write a book.

A month in Guatemala was the most life-changing thing I've done. It opened my eyes to the world and to the opportunities that are awaiting.

In Salt Lake City, a group of well-dressed individuals walked past me as I sat below a street lamp late in the evening. They grumbled in my direction at the problem of having homeless folks about. I was sitting in the same spot, and a man approached me with his hand in his dirty, blue jean pocket. His shirt was over-sized, his long gray beard very scraggly. He asked me, "Do you need any money?" I replied, "no, thank you." He began to walk away, but turned back and asked, "Would you like a cigarette?" I replied, "no, but thanks." He said, "thank you, have a good night." I thought that was a pretty amazing thing to see.
