About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Currently working to make science fun and entertaining for adults. I run a monthly comedy show in NYC themed around academia and making it funny! I also train up scientists and researchers to use comedy to connect with audiences. At the moment, I'm living in NYC, doing live photography and video editing all while improvising for fun and doing the stand-up once-in-a-while.
ABOUT ME
Avid traveler, passion for food and cooking and coffee. I do like tea but I prefer a perfectly made espresso any day. Absolute love for karaoke and these days, doing storytelling+standup and improv.
PHILOSOPHY
I always feel that there's something to learn from everyone's life and experiences. It's one of the things I love about meeting fellow travelers. There's this great saying a linguistics professor taught us from when he studied tribes in Papua New Guinea. It says, "We long bilong em." It means "It is his way".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't been traveling as much lately because of school obligations but I do occasionally take folks passing through NYC along with me to museums, food adventures, or walks across my favorite neighborhoods. When I travel, I like to meet up with locals of the couchsurfing community to help show me around a little. It's so much more fun with a new friend, especially for avid solo travelers like myself.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've mostly connected with local couchsurfers to hang with but have also encouraged many friends to tap into the incredible couchsurfing community around the world. Even convinced my significant other's mom to try her first ever backpacking/couchsurfing experience in the UK over the last few years and it's completely changed her outlook on life!
Interests
I have a broad range of interests, one of which is the outdoors -- hiking, storytelling, and comedy. The other major one is probably food and cocktails. Avid amateur photographer and currently work freelance as a multimedia producer.
I have also been known to break into random song and dance in the middle of anywhere... And absolutely love a game night with friends! Crack open the Cards Against Humanity anytime, anywhere.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love movies! I don't necessarily have favorites but Princess Bride and Zoolander are some of my silly favorites. As for music, I enjoy everything, really, but any kind of music that I can belt my heart with or dance my butt off to works for me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To date, the most amazing thing I've done was spend a few weeks visiting a good friend of mine who works for the Cantabrian parks guiding folks through some of the most wonderful (living) caves with prehistoric paintings. Seriously puts life and culture into perspective.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to show you how you can be your best storyteller or try your hand at standup comedy!
