About Me
The "Tell me something about yourself questions" are just like "Oh you speak a foreign language? Say something!". You never know what to say, even though there's a lot to say.
So, let's start somewhere. At this point in life, I can most broadly describe myself as a psychology student, a traveler and a beer lover, cause those three take most of my time. I currently study in Leuven, Belgium, and am planning to become a research psychologist, so I won't analyse your behaviour and ask you about your mother, no worries. I also travel a lot and prefer simple, flexible travels over well-planned hotel stays. I like to do everything over a beer: first world topics, fights, writing my thesis, you name it.
I also do some NGO volunteering and stuff in student organisations, currently as a grant coordinator in an international psychological student association, and was involved with ESN in my hometown. I see the NGO student work as a beautiful playground for developing skills, personality and life goals, and I never feel guilty when I spend 3 hours in a meeting the day before a big exam. School doesn't teach you life anyways.
I'm flexible, creative, open-minded and ambitious, and like to live life to the fullest. I like long discussions, logical puzzles and movies with no plot. I dislike people who complain a lot, Instagram and waiting at the traffic lights.
That's about it about me, the rest I'm willing to share (over a beer, of course)!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because Couchsurfing is the best idea ever. I'm one of those people who think you can't have too many friends and connections, especially when they come from all over the world. Couchsurfing allows me to meet the city as an insider when I'm travelling and brings the world to me when I can't be out in the world. I also feel that meeting different people gives you a better understanding of the world, and through CS I've really met a whole lotta people, from street artists to a guy who works for the French government. But, most importantly, all of the people I met so far, and I believe a large majority of the CS community, share the same values of trust, kindness and selflessness. And that's very cool.
Interests
Well, there's plenty of those. I did creative workshops, amateur filmmaking, project management, school of rhetorics, semi-professional rowing, student exchanges, camping, volunteering, working as an administrative secretary, congresses, conferences, grant writing... so usually I can find a shared interest with most of the people I'm talking to. However, it's the people that have completely different interests than mine who I find the most interesting! Basically, I'm never bored when spending time with new people, and I like to think it goes the other way around as well :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During a youth exchange in the Netherlands had to find a way to build a freaking raft and paddle down the river for a couple of hours, cycle around and find a way to live for three days with no money, no phone, no credit cards, no accommodation, no nothing. 'Into the Wild' style. Loved it. Ended up staying with amazing people every day. It was like CS, just a bit more adventurous.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well, a beer? :D
I'm not much of a cook, but I love cooking, so I'm always ready to prepare a meal for the hosts. I can't promise you a truly traditional Croatian meal, but I can do my best to try! Also, I can share stories, experiences, knowledge, tips for travelling cheaply or movie recommendations.
