About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world!! (on a low budget)

ABOUT ME

My name is Kate and definitely have been bit by the travel bug. From my study abroad in Spain and traveling all over Europe to being an Au Pair for a year in Australia to now working as an English teacher in Korea. I finished college with degrees in Intercultural Communication and Spanish in 2015. I love to be spontaneous and experience life to the fullest, but I am also a bit OCD about cleanliness at times. I am pretty easy going and laid back. I love meeting new people and learning about them!

PHILOSOPHY

Take life one step at a time, what's the rush?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Every event and person I've met that is associated with CouchSurfing has been awesome. I've met people with so much life and energy in them and love every minute of it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Beach sushi parties, hung out in Ibiza, stayed with some in Switzerland and another in Australia, and other great meetups!

Interests

I love to eat (can cook too), travel, learn about new things and places, talk and meet new people, read. I'm not big into organized sports, but I have played softball and volleyball in high school. I prefer to snowboard, rock climb, and wakeboard.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music? I studied for a few years but had to quit in uni, but that doesn't mean I'm not still just as much passionate about it!
Movies? Terrified of zombies and psycho thrillers.
Books? Grew up without a tv so books were my best friend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Riding a camel in Morocco, Snorkeling with sea turtles in Australia, Learning flamenco and attending Las Fallas in Spain, Graduating with two bachelors in CA, Eating fondue in Switzerland, Spending the day at natural thermal spa in Andorra, Hiking the Bray to Greystones walk in Ireland, Reconnecting with my mother country in South Korea. Can't wait for so many more adventures to come.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching English in Korea now and have tutored Spanish in uni.
I can cook, clean, and do all those other household chores
