I have successfully made it out into the "real world" without getting stuck living a boring, repetitive, unsatisfactory life, so as far as I'm concerned, I have made it. I have traveled around a lot over the years but lately have been spending most of my time trying to advance goals and feel like a productive adult. I moved to DC after grad school and have been calling this home for a decade now.

I run a business dedicated to making people fitter and stronger and it's my true passion. I spend my free time learning about exercise science, doing strength training and martial arts, foraging wild mushrooms, learning about plants and trees, and gardening. I love a good intellectual discussion as well as being silly and not acting my age.

I am open and accepting of all lifestyles and orientations but to avoid misunderstandings here I find it important to clarify that I am heterosexual.

I'm here to make new experiences with interesting people. I've been here for quite a long time both hosting and surfing. I have surfed through the US, Europe, Central and South America, and New Zealand. The experiences have been both awesome and diverse, from sleeping in a school bus to living it up in extravagant style. I have hosted some amazing people in my home and several have resulted in years-long friendships.

I am one of the crazies that exclusively read nonfiction books; I have been known to read a textbook or two. I feel that I must learn something from reading, or else I can't justify it.

Favorite movies include Into The Wild, Good Will Hunting, Fight Club, and Snatch.

Went fishing solo in a kayak in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Maine in the middle of the night lit only by the stars and the bioluminescent algae in the water.

I speak both English and Spanish. I also have a lot of knowledge on exercise science and nutrition that I'm glad to share. At some point I'd like to learn to Latin dance.
