About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission in life is to absorb all the newness around me!

ABOUT ME

I recently completed my degree at the University of Ottawa - I can't currently accept couch surfers because I have moved home to work and live while I apply for jobs in my field. I am a guest myself these days!

I believe in a global community and can't wait to travel the world more in the years to come and get to know my neighbours!

PHILOSOPHY

The most important things in life are love for each other, tolerance, and open mindedness. I love meeting people who have had different life experiences from mine and getting to know a new culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, not much at all! No travel plans, living at home - please stand by!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had the opportunity to participate by couch surfing myself yet, but I have in the past been able to host! I look forward to meeting more couch surfers! If you're considering me as a guest, please take a chance on me despite my apparent lack of experience! You won't regret it and you'll only help me get even more involved :)

Interests

I get excited at the prospect of getting to know new people with interesting stories to tell. Or even people with no stories to tell that are just happy to meet new people too. I would love to learn a new language or 7, but I'm currently taking Spanish and it's proving to be harder than I anticipated. It may be true what they say about some people just not being able to learn a new language...my brain is resisting to say the least! I'm looking forward to getting more involved in the couch-surfing community, especially because I plan to be travelling and living overseas on and off for the next few years, as my current quest for a degree allows.

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend to avoid reality television but this sadly does not mean that I have great taste in TV! However, we don't have cable in our apartment so I'm rarely up on the latest shows and trends.

I love to read, and even though I'm a full time student right now and don't have a lot of time for pleasure reading, I still seem to be accumulating books that I hope to read in the future. I enjoy books that centre around travel, culture, and of course the chic-lic type books that are great to read on the beach or at the cottage.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite experiences to date was the first trip that I took to Peru. I was able to take a couple of days to get up to Cusco and take the train to Machu Picchu. There isn't a camera available that could truly capture what a breathtaking site this is to visit, but it doesn't seem to stop us all from trying!
