About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi! My name's Kyle--I have lots of hobbies including playing guitar/bass, reading and writing poetry/fiction, drinking and playing video games :) I've lived in Japan for five years, so I'm comfortable speaking Japanese or talking about Japan with anyone who is interested. My wife is Japanese, and she is excited to try Couchsurfing, too!

PHILOSOPHY

All of the events in my life have made me stronger as a human being, but life's not all about being tough. I want to have fun, even if it means making a fool out of myself in the process.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to be a good host to laid back travelers. Some people like to go on hikes or climb mountains with their host, but I'd rather just talk over a few drinks. Think of my home as a place to relax, and the area outside as the world to adventure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met friends in New York, New Jersey, Japan and The Philippines via couchsurfing and they have all been wonderful, splendid people. I love how interesting people are who really want to get out in the world!

Interests

I've been playing guitar for over 10 years and bass for the last 5 years, and played with a bunch of different groups at small gigs. I've been interested in cooking lately, and love to learn new recipes.
