About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm looking to meet new people, learn as much Polish as possible, and have a ton of fun while I'm still young!
ABOUT ME
I love new experiences, learning languages, and adventures! I knit pretty much constantly, so much so that in grad school I learned how to knit and read at the same time so my work wouldn't interrupt my knitting! When I'm abroad the thing I miss most about the US, other than my family and friends, is decent Mexican food. I love sports and anything outdoors, but I'm also perfectly content to sit in a corner of a cafe with a good cup of tea and great friends or a new book.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now, my participation is in a bit of a lull. I live in a small village in Upstate New York and can't host, but I would love to show someone around if they're in the area!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Grease, Dial M for Murder, pretty much any romantic comedy.
Music: Cat Stevens, Johnny Cash, Rilo Kiley, Feel, Raz Dwa Trzy, BRAThANKI, Kasia Nosowska.
Books: Master and Margarita, We, The Joke, Smilla's Sense of Snow, Harry Potter, His Dark Materials, The Warmth of Other Suns, The Shadow of the Wind...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My favorite travel moment of all time was finding Bulgakov's apartment in Moscow. Master and Margarita is my all-time favorite book and I spent almost a whole day (I'm directionally challenged) trying to find apartment number 50, where Voland lived. When I finally found it, I was so overwhelmed that I started crying. An adorable older Russian couple found me, a crazy American girl in a not very touristy part of Moscow, crying in the hallway of their apartment building and immediately volunteered to take me on a tour of the neighborhood. I never ceased to be amazed by the kindness of strangers, something which I think couchsurfing does a great job of promoting.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a teacher of English, so I can definitely help with that. Especially if you want to speak Russian or Polish with me in exchange. :)
I'm also a pretty decent knitter and love to teach others!
Oh, and I LOVE to cook with other people. I'm a vegetarian, so no meat here, but I'm always happy to cook vegan if that's better for you. :)
