Thinking of a better current mission statement
ABOUT ME
I just moved to St Petersburg and currently tutor math when I can't be at the beach. I'm relatively laid back and enjoy talking about anything with just about anyone. I play tennis and any other sports in my spare time. I have an uncanny knack for acquiring free stuff(which morally I can not refuse). I am opposed to all types of technology(I understand that it logically follows that I shouldn't make profiles on websites, but for couchsurfing I make an exception). I only use electronics that predate 2000 because I'm still afraid of Y2K. I also have a hard time saying the word no, so your request has a good chance of being accepted.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is not about what you're doing, but who you are doing it with...I can enjoy just about anything(even baseball) if I'm with good people

Music, Movies, and Books
music - all types, but I find songs with harmonicas and clapping immediately enjoyable for some reason. Also, lately I've been addicted to songs with the phrase "throw/put your hands in the air" in it.
movies - usual suspects, the goonies, stand by me, james bond, rain man, the congo, and movies that are so bad they are funny
books - catch 22, twelve, fahrenheit 451, a complicated kindness, you shall know our velocity, cat's cradle
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was a tourist in Syria. Unbelievable experience that I strongly suggest to anyone. The culture is extremely hospitable and friendly. Food is phenomenal and cheap. It's impossible to leave that country not loving it.
