ABOUT ME

My name is Kristin (as you can tell by the top of the screen). I absolutely love EVERYTHING about travel. I thrive on new places, new experiences, and new people. My friends often tell me that I have never met a stranger in my life - and its so true! I am often known as the "positive girl" because I ALWAYS have a smile on my face and am ever the optimist. I love everything outdoors: whitewater rafting, scuba diving, camping, hiking, etc. I could not cook a good meal to save my life but I can bake the most delicious deserts you have ever eaten. My friends tell me I talk a lot and I have a good sense of humor. I overuse smiley faces and exclamation points. I love to dance and have fun, but I am also responsible about it. I DO have an international phone. I am also in love with facebook. :)

I am usually a good judge of character - so if I sent you a request I have searched many people and you are the best! I have traveled all up and down the East coast of the US, some of Canada, Jamaica, Costa Rica, backpacked Europe and spent 2 months living in Perugia, Italy! I am not here to slum on peoples couches for free - I want to interact, get to know you, and form a friendship and talk to you for years to come!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life by always looking to the future, but relishing every single day. I am known by my friends and family for my "5 year plan" which is often too detailed for my own good. Despite this, I make changes and adopt to new circumstances and keep a positive outlook no matter what situation I find myself in. I am ever the optimist!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sadly I have been very inactive the past year because of me attempting to get my masters degree (and succeeding). I am changing this now! Because of my personal couch situation, I do not come up in many searches sadly. I travel a lot and can not always guarantee I am home. However I do look for opportunities to surf and LOVE when people do come to our house! I also plan to get more involved in the community groups and events once my life slows down a little!!!

If you host me at any point in time - I promise I will write a reference. I hope you do the same! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS has been an amazing blessing to me (and I hope to people that have met me). Not only have I had the opportunity to surf with people in the US - but the kindness of hosts in Europe made it possible to backpack for two months on a students budget! I absolutely agree with this concept and hope to help it grow further! I still talk to many of my previous hosts through the awesomeness of Facebook! :)

Anything outdoors - especially water sports. I love dolphins and the color purple. I like to bake. I love meeting new people and taking lots of photographs. As I stated earlier - I am, sadly, addicted to facebook. Its a guilty pleasure.

I love pretty much EVERY movie as long as it has a good ending. Some people say that, but it is honestly true for me. I have walked out of movies and all of my friends have talked about how bad it was and I thought it was good! I always look for the good things in movies. The ending has to be a "happy ending" though! My favorite movies that come to mind are Ever After, Gladiator, Minority Report, Harry Potters, and...well....everything!

I am almost the same way with music. I will listen and dance to most everything. The only exception to this is the majority of male country singers. Since I am so positive, I do not like listening to how "my wife left, my dog got shot, and my truck broke down". Ya, that is a generalization...but you get my drift.
