Hey everyone! I'm very new to the area and will begin hosting once I get a little settled in.

For now I'm up for meeting up and exploring the area!

I recently moved to Norway to study at The University of Tromsø. I have an education in geology and archaeology, and worked as a professional geologist for a number of years, but recently decided to return to academia. What can I say, I love learning!

As far as my personality goes, I guess I'm a nerdy, music loving, travel enthusiast. I'm constantly exploring and trying to fill my life with new, fun experiences and good friends. I've worked in Mexico and Greece for a little while and traveled pretty extensively to other parts of the world. I get really antsy when I'm inactive for too long so I'm constantly on the go, doing something. That something is typically hiking around in nature, checking out a local event or concert or hanging out at a coffee shop or library learning/reading something.

I've couchsurfed in Iceland (1), Japan (2), Spain (4), Morocco (1), Scotland (1), Italy (3), Austria (2), Belgium (2), Holland (1), Argentina (1), the United States (4), Norway (7), Finland (5), Estonia (1), Germany (2) and Canada (4).
My profile doesn't account for everyone that has hosted me or the travelers that I've met up with on the road.

Outside of traveling, I'm constantly meeting up with travelers and showing them around Cleveland as well as going to a ton of local couchsurfing events.

I've had so many incredible experiences, meeting up with people in other countries and locally, that I'm constantly using this website!

Music: Some of my favorite artists right now include: Alcest, Sigur Rós, Between the Buried and Me, John Luther Adams, Agalloch, Radiohead, Slowdive, Paco de Lucia, Russian Circles, Korpiklaani, Yasmine Hamdan, My Bloody Valentine, Ólafur Arnalds, Django Reinhardt, Ulver, Leprous, Ihsahn, wittr, etc I'm always open to exploring new music, so show me what you can!

Movies/Television Shows: I try to avoid these glowing screens as much as I can these days but I do love Star Wars, A Game of Thrones, Vikings, Rick and Morty, Seinfeld, Quinton Tarantino movies, Walking Dead, Black Mirror, horrible B-movies.

Books: I've been reading a lot these past few years. I'm not going to list anything out but I'm always up for discussing literature!

I've had a lot of fun, interesting and completely ridiculous experiences in my life.

But if I had to mention one, I did get to sleep out in the open on some sand dunes in the Sahara Desert near the Moroccan/Algerian border.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

The world is a wonderful, large and complex place, and we all have a lot that we can teach each other. It's important to be continuously in pursuit of knowledge and have a willingness to share what you can so that everyone (including yourself) can gain a better understanding of the world. This is probably the single most important feature of CouchSurfing, and what really draws me to it :D

I am happy to share and teach whatever I possibly can, although it is difficult to really list off what I can help people with.

Every host has a different personality, customs and living conditions so what I can "share" can vary greatly. So what one person might expect from a guest might not exactly fit another persons expectations.

I am a very adaptable person and would be happy to contribute in any way that I can depending on the situation.
