About Me
Hello everybody!
My name is Juro in Slovak language it's spelled like € but it means George in English.
I am an open minded an easy going person who loves to meet new people. This curiosity has already brought me to some corners of the world and at home in Slovakia I work as a tour guide mostly in my hometown Bratislava where I get to know somebody almost every day. I am a big fan of bicycles, some people say a bicycle-freak. Riding a bike causes immediate smile om my face wheter it's commuting sweating in the forest on a mountainbike. I'm deeply interested in the more recent history and social changes in our region and I keep up with the cultural scene like films, theather, exhibitions, festivals. Sometimes you can find e alone in the forest or or on some of the hills around the city but than usuallt you won't find me :D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that coachsurfing is an absolutely amazing concept. For some years I have been a big fan of sharing culture. While travelling I have experienced some true hospitality. For me such behaviour is natural whether hosting or being hosted and it's a great idea to make some good use of the internet and bring people with similar thinking together. Also I think this is getting more and more important with the rising globalisation and acceleration of out life via progress in technology to slow down and try to know the place with the help of local people and through their optics.

Music, Movies, and Books
That woukd be an extremely long list but I can give a few examples here :)
Despite being so oositive in my life I really like 'dark' music from Kraftwerk throgh the Joy Division and Bauhaus. Also big fan of many New wave and punk bands but also much older classics like the Doors. But hey, writing here everything down does not make sense. As I grew older my taste is not at all defined by genre and almost every day I discover something that okeases my ears.
Among my favourite authors of books that impacted me are for example Milan Kundera, Kurt Vonnegut, Charles Bukowski, E.A. Poe, Arthur C. Clarke, Jules Verne,
Many films as well, lot of local Czechoslovak production andabout foreign directors let's say, David Lynch, Lars von Trier, a
Alejandro Inaritu Kubrick and many more. Honestly I much rather watch something mind blowing than relaxing, something naturalistic and raw than full of effects and
