About Me
CURRENT MISSION
have a good time, with as many people as possible in the short time i have here. it's all about the good times.
ABOUT ME
Kareem Mahmoud Nada, 19. 173 cm (5ft 8in), 100kg (220 pounds). i love to eat as my weight shows and i believe that food is my only vice. i am hopeless romantic;i believe in the old school way of treating a woman such as opening the door for her. i am currently in pursuit mechanical engineering degree from the American University in Cairo. I am currently in Los Angeles in an exchange program for a year studying at UCLA. I play Rugby and it has become a passion of mine. I am an easy going person, very easy to approach and talk to. respectful to other people, whether beliefs or political points of view. i love to have a laugh, mostly at myself. share a fun time with others. share with others. i believe in generosity and giving (kareem is actually arabic for generous). i do not proof read. i will play the devil's advocate in an argument just to present the other point of view to someone. i believe that politics is a game, but we all have to play. i dislike indifference. i will have a midlife crisis. and dont mind the beard, im just lazy.
PHILOSOPHY
food tastes best on two occasions, when hungry, and when shared with others. something i like to live by.
...and i do believe in RAKs (random acts of kindness)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i play rugby. i organize events in my local university mainly in PR and fund raising. i involve myself in a mass of activities just for enjoyment and an experience. i have sang in a few talent shows when i was younger, but after puberty kicked in, my once soothing voice disappeared.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
none, my friend felix introduced me to it and he found a place for us to stay for two nights in Berkeley, CA. i thought the idea of couch surfing was fascinating.
Interests
rugby, music, movies, books, philosophy, world history, religion, human interaction, stumble upon, burgers and a good shisha smoke after.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a big movie buff. favorite english movie is 'the shawshank redmeption,'foreign movies 'old boy'(korean) 'city of god'(Brazilian).
I listen to all music, and i mean everything from hans zimmer to slipknot to tupac to the beatles.
i have read every one roald dahl's children's books except 'james and the giant peach'. george orwell, i do not appreciate books however that tell you how you should live your life such as the 'seven habits' or 'who ate my cheese?' i also do enjoy a little bit of poetry (def poetry in particular)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
licked a snake. played with monkeys. watched the sun rise and set from and in the sea on the same day. jumped of a bridge into water (it wasn't that high though). caught fish with a harpoon. i have been in the trunk of a car as my friend drifted back and forth. i have peed in a friends coke bottle and smiled as he drank it (long time ago though). graduated high school... nothing else comes to mind now.
Teach, Learn, Share
i have three siblings, all older, so i grew quick. i have been through a good amount of experiences. i am egyptian and i was there when the revolution happened (tear gas isn't pleasant). i am fortunate to come from house hold that combined tradition and old ways of thinking, yet adapted as we moved through modern times.
