ABOUT ME

I love to cook! I taught cooking classes at my university for college students who did not know how to cook. I am interested in agriculture and I have a passion for local foods. I am an avid traveler. I have traveled to numerous places in the United States. I visited Europe in 2011, which included CouchSurfing in Madrid, Toledo, London, and Paris. I also visited Turkey in 2013, which included CouchSurfing in Istanbul and hosteling in Cappadocia and Olympos. I CouchSurfed throughout Germany and went to Oktoberfest in Sept. and Oct. of 2013. My most recent trips include CouchSurfing throughout Italy in Sept. 2014, and May-June 2015 in SE Asia! I traveled in Georgia, Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan in Oct/Nov 2015. In 2016, I have visited Iceland, Japan and Vietnam.

You can learn so much from other people when you immerse yourself in their culture.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I believe in the six degrees of separation; my goal is to make the links shorter. I want to meet as many people as I can during my life and I want to have meaningful relationships with them. I enjoy hosting anyone and being a CouchSurfer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed with and hosted numerous people. I have also met up with people for drinks and coffee. I am anxious to surf more and host more people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the ball drop for New Years Eve in New York City!
I have been sky diving.
I have rappelled down a 32-story building in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina.
I've had liters of beer and danced on tables in Munich during Oktoberfest.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook and would be willing to share this knowledge with anyone! My specialty is cooking "southern" foods, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato casserole, pies, etc.
