About Me
ABOUT ME
That's going to take some time... I'm Israeli, born and raised in Haifa, and now living in Beer-Sheva. I try to do a little of anything that I find interesting, but there's still a long list of things I haven't gotten to.
My main love and occupation is Mathematics. I work as a researcher and teacher at Ben-Gurion university in Beer-Sheva, as a PhD student. I work mostly in Algebra, in the field of Representation theory and Number theory, and would love to chat on the subject with anyone who is willing to listen :).
My second love, and side-occupation is Music. I play the French-horn in the Beer-Sheva wind orchestra, and the trumpet in several Tel-Aviv based bands, and bass in another band and I have my own solo gig (where I sing and play guitar). I think I also play piano and harmonicas, but not completely sure about that.. Anyhow, I love doing that, and I love jamming in any style and with any one, from arabic music, through reggea and funk, up to straight blues and jazz.
Other then that, I like all sorts of other things. Art is another great interest. Cooking as well.
And I think that might be actually something like 70% about me, so that's close enough for now :)
PHILOSOPHY
Everything is interesting.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Very positive. I have had some very interesting guests at my place in Beer-Sheva, and am looking forward to hosting more people.
When travelling in Europe, I participated as a surfer, trying to couchsurf in most towns I went through, or at least participate in couchsurfing activities whenever I couldn't find a couch.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Very good. There's something truly wonderful about this method of making new contacts in new place. It's a great way to diminish the feeling of foreignness that is an inevitable part of experiencing a new city.
Apart from just surfing, I also use couchsurfing as a way to meet interesting people and discover cool things to do in places I go, via the event-boards and local forums. So far this method has proved very useful.
