Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was able to stay with 4 great people while traveling around Ireland and the UK summer 2013. It was an amazing experience learning about new cultures and sharing great laughter and conversations with people who quickly became new friends!! In the past I haven't been able to host people because I was living in college dorms. I'd like to host people in the future as a way of giving back, and also making new friends!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch surfed in Ireland with a great host, Marco! It was an awesome experience because we got to make a new friend and see some great parts of Dublin!
My sister and I also stayed with 3 other fabulous hosts who told us all about the area and made us feel right at home.

Interests

Kareoke, dancing, comedy, meeting new people, seeing new places, good music and movies and American football!!! I admit that I'm a huge Jets fan!

Music: Most anything--as long as it isn't screaming! Anything from DMB to Trey Songz, parachute, Gavin DeGraw, Steve Miller Band, Paramore and Cat Stevens.
Books: Looking for Alaska, The Eight, The Hunger Games
Movies: The Guardian, Harry Potter, Stealth, too many to list!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Performed standup comedy infront of 150+ people for the first time ever this spring. It was energizing and so empowering. Lots of fun too!!

Coastal Walk from Doolin to the Cliffs of Moher.

When my sister got me to meet Dan Radcliffe! I don't care how nerdy it sounds, it was awesome to meet Harry Potter!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love studying societies and how humans interact with each other. I tend to be very passionate about the issues I care about. Still, I often find myself learning to look at situations differently than I originally had. I think its important for people to have open minds and be open to change.

I'd love to learn more about different cultures, learn to speak another language and to cook more recipes!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love learning more about new people and places. I've come to find that you can become friends with a person in an instant, and I'm hoping to do more couch surfing and friend-making in the future!
