About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'd love to share my world view and have others share theirs with me.

PHILOSOPHY

I have a great group of family and friends that I consider my tribe. We're a collection of people of all ages and many walks of life. Among us, we can do almost anything. We're an amazing collective community.

I contribute time to a few nonprofits (we're not really rolling in it enough to contribute cash).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet.

Interests

I own/ride motorcycles. From a 1972 Honda CB500 four to a 2004 Honda 919.
I'm much more domestic than I care to admit. I wish I was better at gardening and I'd love to get some chickens for eggs and meat.
He plays Dungeon & Dragons twice a week.
We go camping.
We both love reading and are otherwise quite boring.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Pan's Labyrinth, Princess Bride, Dark Crystal, Willow, Legend, The Orphanage, The Man Who Wasn't There
Music: DJ Tiesto, Electronica (house/trance/happy hardcore), National Public Radio, Loreena McKennitt
Books: cookbooks, Radical Homemakers, Urban Farming, community improvement non-fiction, What's Mine Is Yours: The Rise of Collaborative Consumption, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead (Tom Stoppard)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I learned how to ride a motorcycle. Being a straight-laced girl who never took a risk in her life (before that), it was a pretty big deal.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share skills in domestic hobbies (cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, how to get that oil stain out of your favorite shirt, etc.) and the English language (linguistics, semantics, syntax, stupid words and their brethren, the molding and melding of languages, etc.). Oh, and if you have any mending that needs doing, just add it to the pile.

I would love to learn how to cook anything new from the US or beyond.
