About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hurry kills cordiality.

ABOUT ME

Dynamic, willing to learn more about others, smiling, inspiring.
I highlight the beauty of simplicity. I appreciate cooking, reading as well as travelling and last but not least socializing with friends, family and new people.
I take pleasure in travelling, discussing cultural qnd linguistic nuances, typical meals, customs. A possibility to get to know others is really enriching and I find it as a chance to stop and think about ourselves.

PHILOSOPHY

Vegetarian with compassion to animals and other people in the world. Trying to make my life more eco-friendly and eat healthy. Slow life philosophy is a convincing option for me. Michał is carnivore, but we often cook veggie food together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live with my boyfriend in a small appartement. We can host you for a night or two. It would also be lovely to stroll with you in Katowice, especially during the weekend, have a drink and chat about you, your travelling experience, tell you something more about Poland and ourselves.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Me and Michał went together to Paris for 8 days and met really great people there via CS. Our first CS experience, but actually a fantastic one.
We also presented ourselves as hosts - and it was also a really pleasant experience.

Interests

Languages, travels - around the district I live, around Silesian district if there's more time to spend, around Poland, and during holidays or longer weekends around the world. Then I like riding a bicycle (this air in my hair...), reading books (I love losing myself totally in book), a little bit of yoga (when I want slow the pace or stretch), a lot of vegetarian food and an everyday attempt to live consciously and ecologically.
Michał's a fan of historical and fantasy books, especially Sapkowski (“The Witcher”) or Tolkien (“Silmarilion”, “The lord of the rings”).
He's a great fan of old, classic Polish cinema from 1950 to 1989 (the communism in Poland was ended at 1989).
Michał's also interested in politics, as he studied political science.
His passion is sport in general (rock climbing, jogging, football).
At the moment he's developing his skills in French and English language.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently discovering delicate Schmitt and modest Kapuściński. We both love to read!

Favourite films: Dead poets society, Jane Eyre (BBC version), Bienvenue chez les Chti's, Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain, Pride and prejudice, Czas honoru, Jeux d'enfants

I admire Gad Elmaleh - French speaking comedian.

Music: Anna Maria Jopek - for more than 10 years, her concerts are a real emotional and almost spiritual experience for me.
Kimbra - love her playing with voice, originality of style and an emotion that comes from her live performances (I've seen only in youtube).
U2 and some Polish bands as Fisz Emade, Hey, Indios Bravos and especially Dawid Podsiadło.

In general, I like the energy that you can feel when going on a concert.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach you how to prepare a delicious veggie meal combined with a short Polish language course!
