'Me' is a pronoun that can barely encompass the whole multifaceted nature of humans' self. But we need to start somewhere, right.

So... 'I' am a person looking for valuable experiences. These can be anything - from an intense discussion on an intriguing topic, through to exploring a new place or a quiet day with a book in hand. 'I' am particularly interested in culture and all the influences it has on people so travelling is a way to experience this.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing for two main reasons:

1. Wanderlust; and
2. Curiosity for other people and cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

'I' enjoy a variety of arts and the particular type really depends on the mood. Some of 'my' favourite authors and works include Oscar Wilde and his 'De Profundis' and 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' , Woolf's 'The Waves', 'To the Lighthouse' and 'Orlando' (I sometimes wonder what it would have been like if Wilde and Woolf met...). Other favourites are the 'absurd' 'Trial' by Franz Kafka, Samuel Beckett's 'End Game' and short stories by Etgar Keret. 'The Little Prince' by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Camus' 'The Stranger' and Nabokov's 'Lolita' are also one of my favourites. Others include 'The Hunger Games' trilogy, 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' and poems by Anne Sexton and Tomas Tranströmer.
Some of 'my' favourite films are 'Amelie', 'Mic-macs', 'A Single Man', 'Nocturnal Animals', 'It's Only the End of the World', 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest', 'Lolita', etc.
Musicwise, 'I' quite enjoy the work of PJ Harvey, Soap&Skin, Gazelle Twin, Soley, Rökkurró, Nina Simone, Dillon, Grimes, Radiohead, Placebo and also some pieces like Vivaldi's Four Seasons, and pieces by Sibelius and Rachmaninoff.
