About Me

Hi I'm Kodi :)

I live in Sydney, Australia but I'm currently floating around the world for a while. Eventually I want to head home to study design but for now I'm adventuring on the west coast of the states.
I'm always down to meet new people and share stories.

Here's my Facebook too, I'm more than happy to message on there as well :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To make new friends, and see the places other people call home.
To absorb as much culture as I can

Interests

I'm a sucker for design, and a lover of good coffee. I adore sweet little markets and beautiful cities. The ocean is pretty lovely as well.
I'm always interested in finding new music (and seeing live music even more) and literature, and I'm always, always up for delicious food (I can make some mean healthy treats too! :) )
Recently I have been getting into yoga and hiking. I'm not too great at either but always up for the challenge, especially if I get to see new places along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite band at the moment would be oslow, a lovely little post hardcore band out of sydney (you should check them out) but I have a pretty varied taste in music, it really just depends on what mood I'm in.

Favourite movies include: Lords of Dogtown, Almost Famous, Great Gatsby, Palo Alto, For All Mankind, Short Term 12, or a really good space documentary.

My favourite books are probably Consolations of Philosophy by Alaine de Botton, The Great Gatsby by Fitzgerald, or Kurt Vonnegut's short stories. It changes pretty often though. I'm currently reading The Motorcycle Diaries, and looking forward to digging into some Henry Miller after that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There's just so much, everything after I bought my one way ticket to London has amazed me. This world is beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about flower arranging, and a whole bunch of complicated botanical names. I'm also pretty handy with a sewing machine and I'm trying to get back into illustrating again (though I'm not very good at it so i'd love to learn with you!) I'm also enjoying cooking with healthy foods and getting out into the garden lately too so I'm always happy to share these things as well.

I'm always keen to take in everything, learn new languages, find new meals to cook, and hear about new music, art, literature or anything else happening around you. I'm currently trying to learn a bit about photography/design too so any advice is very welcome :)

We can share food, stories and ideas, and talk about all of our adventures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversations, and a lovely cup of tea or coffee.
I'm also always up for an adventure and finding new places to explore.

Plus I'm a pretty good at helping out with dinner preparations :)
