About Me
Hail and welcome!
Cradled by the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, I grew up in a very rural area in a tiny town. My entire life, my dream has been to experience the widest variety of things the world has to offer--but very little of it can be found in my area.
Today, I aspire to travel and immerse myself into as many cultures as possible, and to one day teach English to students abroad who would like to learn. You cannot live your entire life in one corner of the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There is so much more out in the world that I have yet to see or experience--or, even, to hear about! I am excited to make friends with other lovely citizens of the world, and to absorb everything that I can possibly learn from my stays!
Unfortunately, as of now, I have not made it out of my own home country, but intend to start exploring the world this year.
Interests
I love nature, music, dancing, and drinks! I am also passionate about learning just about anything.

Music, Movies, and Books
It is so difficult to narrow down just a few favorite musicians or types of music--I like the best of all of it! My heart has been in all different kinds of metal since before I was a teenager: Pantera, Unearth, Rammstein, Children of Bodom, Opeth, Suicide Silence.. I could go on for days. By contrast, though, I also love classic rock, some jazz and blues (Peggy Lee, Janis Joplin, Frank Sinatra, Bill Withers...), and even a few country songs.
As far as movies go, I love anything directed by Quentin Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez! Also among my favorites are The Princess Bride, Shaun of the Dead, Clockwork Orange, The Lost Boys, Evil Dead / Army of Darkness, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
My favorite book of all time, hands down, is "The Prophet" by Khalil Gibran. I also enjoyed Anne Rice's "Sleeping Beauty" trilogy and anything at all by Stephen King or H.P. Lovecraft. "1984" by George Orwell is a favorite classic, along with "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Robert Heinlein.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have volunteered at soup kitchens throughout the holidays for the past couple years, which has been quite an eye-opening experience. Coming from the fabled middle-class (albeit, in an unstable family), I did not entirely appreciate what I had until giving my time to them and hearing their stories.
Teach, Learn, Share
I own a house which I will be happy to share with guests once I make some major repairs. Additionally, I can teach and play guitar and if English help is requested, I would be more than happy to oblige!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A potentially long-term friend with an open, intrigued mind and a bright, happy attitude. Also, if any of my abilities are of interest to the host, I am more than happy to offer my help with patience and gratitude.
