Overview
About Me
I currently live in Quebec, but I've lived all over Canada (that comprises about 2% of the world, right?).
I love exploring urban spaces and discovering obscure, niche places. I also enjoy spending my time outdoors in nature, when I can. And I love photography...does anyone want to take pictures with me??

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a bit of a culture junkie. I love reading when I have the time. There are many books that are dear to me. To name a few authors in no particular: Eco, Baldwin, Berger, Nabakov, Durrell, Almodóvar, Steinbeck, Didion, Le Guin, Ishiguro, Murakami, Carver, Roth, and Atwood.
I used to have a lot more time to watch TV shows, but not anymore. I usually have a couple shows on rotation every year. As for cinema, I'm really into foreign films and weird, artsy stuff. Interesting cinematography and good writing are always attractive. David Lynch is probably one of my favourite directors! Some others I enjoy: Tarantino, Iñárritu, Cuarón, Anderson (both of them), Tarkovsky, Godard, Von Trier, Coppola, Kubrick, and of course, Ridley Scott. As for Québecois directors, I'd say Dolan, Villeneuve, and Vallée.
Music: too much to name it all. Really into jazz and hip-hop. Getting into house and electronic music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I drove across Canada (9,000 km!) with my dog with a jeep and a little trailer that we lived in.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a writer and an editor and so I can review any English if you are just learning it.
I was once told that all of cooking is simply a balancing act between lemon juice, soya, and salt. I don't necessarily hold to this idea, though, but the platitude seems important. In short, I love both cooking and learning how to cook!
