About Me

CURRENT MISSION

never to worry

ABOUT ME

I look at the bright side of life, I day without laughing is a day not living, I am interested in people and in what goes on in the world, I like music a lot, I can talk about almost anything (once had a 45min. conversation about doorknobs), when I am awake I don't want to go to sleep, when I am sleeping I don't want to get out of bed, I had my own "brown" bar for 5 years so I take some time off now, I think Ghent is one of the better places in the world and surely the best place in Belgium

PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Everybody is welcome in my house.
I try not to (re)act prejudiced.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted several times already and it was ok every time; I met some fantastic people.
I had the pleasure to be hosted by several really nice people, who gave me a heartwarming welcome and stay.

Interests

at this moment: most of the people I meet, all of my friends, where my society is going to, how to build up a new economy, where the next trip will go to, how to get the SUV's off the road

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 2 weeks in the Corsican mountains without a tent, we were lucky with the weather though, i twisted my ancle like 10 times, wearing city-walkingshoes.
In Skye we fell asleep 1 metre from the end of the cliff, we slept (accidently) 10 metres from the landfill.
Recently in Scotland, while hiking, we were wondering if we'd find any dry wood, since we were in a treeless plain. And -this is true- no 5 minutes later we found a bunch of dead branches. I lost a bottle of water on the spot, too.
Walked the Ghanaian beachside and ended up in some sort of township - rather strange.
Visited special schools in the Cambodian countryside - we can learn from them

Teach, Learn, Share

you are your own best doctor/shrink/...; listen and look around; be wide awake, with fear, with respect and with self-confidence; don't take things personally, don't take yourself too seriously; don't lose the child in you; always do your utter best; stand behind your words; live without dead time; look the monsters in the eye; know that we are all responsable for our own happiness. voilaa!
