Overview
About Me
I’m a 24 year old Dutch person (meaning I’m from The Netherlands, not Germany!). I’m finishing my Masters degree in Electrical Engineering in Delft, and I’m currently taking 3 months off to take a break before my graduation year starts. In my free time I play tennis, watch series or a movie at the cinema, play games, race go-karts, drink beers and every Formula 1 race day I’m cheering for Max Verstappen. My favorite food would definitely be sushi or real Italian food.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined this network for a trip through Western USA I’m making (nov-dec 2017). I’m traveling alone and would love to get to know as much people as possible. It would definitely be fun to meet people that want to join on activities that I’m planning to do, or to meet someone that can convince me to alter my schedule and who takes me to another adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books
I prefer all kinds of music, but nowadays most interested in discomusic. In movies I also have a quite varying taste, but at the moment mostly looking forward to the new Star Wars movie.
My favorite book at the moment is definitely The Rosie Project.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A 4-day hike through the Alps.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As stated above, I’m not on this network for a free bed. I’m traveling by myself but I would like to meet as much people along the way as possible. Therefore I would like to invite any host that I’m staying at to join my activities; for all I know, most people don’t ever take the time to be a tourist near their city, so I’m inviting you to be so for once. Beside that, as a Dutch person I can offer you what we call “gezelligheid”, some word that absolutely has no translation to English, but I could try to explain it to you when we meet!
