My name is Koen: I'm a nice guy, 29 at the moment, and I've always enjoyed traveling. For me traveling is about seeing new things, meeting new people, find something you didn't expect and coming home with an unique experience.

I'm living together with my girlfriend Laurie and David, one of my best friends. It's a little bit like the How I Met Your Mother tvserie ;) Laurie and me have known eachother for 4 years. Last year I introduced her to couchsurfing when we made a big roadtrip from east to west Canada, and it was a big hit. So we are eager to go on adventure once more and meet more awesome people :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I started surfing in the spring of 2011, when I started a 5 month roadtrip across the USA. Never did I expect to enjoy so many great adventures with people I've met through CS. It's been a couple of years now, and I still love to surf and host.

Hanging out with friends to enjoy diner, encounter long and legendary drinkingtales, party at underground techno parties and hunt for treasure!

- Music: electronic (minimal, techno, techhouse).

- Movie: we've got a big projector and soundsystem, love watching thriller, drama, war, roadtrip and comedy movies.

- Driving the Trans-Canada Highway from Quebec City to Vancouver Island on a 8.500km roadtrip with Laurie.

- Getting to know CS for the first time, on a 30.000km roadtrip across the United States.

- Buying motorbikes in Vietnam together with friends, and driving 1.500km across the country.

- Walking from cabin to cabin through the rough landscape of Norway.
