ABOUT ME

One of my favorite quotes is this one from Marcel Proust:
"The real voyage of discovery consist not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes."

And I love discovering things so if I have to describe 'all about me' it would be that very idea of having new eyes, every day again, broadening my perspective, pursue the bigger picture to reach an understanding of life that is beneficial towards anyone or anything I encounter with.

PHILOSOPHY

"Be the change I want to see in this world" from Gandhi sounds so cheesy, but it really does express me personal philosophy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never actually surfed with someone from CouchSurfing before. I did join a few cool CS events when I worked in Manila, Philippines (including racing through the city which was awesome!)

兴趣

I love stories.
So obviously I love books & movies, but I have a preference for stories that don't portray themselves as such. Music, arts, people, travelling, ... as longs as it's genuine, I'm intrigued by the story behind it. Abandoned buildings, city-park trees, train platform pigeons, elevator buttons, public bathroom graffiti, restaurant cutlery, ... you name it, I'll find something fascinating about it!

I also like chess, although I have trouble winning since I really want them to just get along and have a big party where bishops become knights, pawns climb rooks and white kings dance with black queens.

So I'm a story listener, not a teller. I can learn you how to listen. This may sound like a mundane trivial skill, but it has given me the most valuable experience in life so far.

I can tell you some irrelevant facts about nature, that are completely useless in a day to day conversation so everyone will stare at you uncomfortably when suddenly you say something like: "A male kangaroo has 2 penises and a female 3 vagina's".
