CURRENT MISSION
To row in the stream of life, trying to enjoy the view
ABOUT ME
I find reindeer kidneys very beautiful and I like national parks, specially the ones beginning with the letter K. Down-to-earth dreamer with pawprints across my heart.
Like every CSer I am easy-going, and want to meet new people ;)
PHILOSOPHY
"Hat der Bauer kalte Hände, flieht die Kuh raus ins Gelände."
”Det finns saker man måste göra, även om det är farligt. Annars är man ingen människa utan bara en liten lort” -Astrid Lindgren-
"If anybody wants a sheep, that is a proof that he exists." -de Saint-Exupéry-
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined in CS looking forward to travel without moving, and at the same time help other people. It is really giving to meet new people and share experiences. There is no better way to spend your time than cooking with old and new friends.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
During the very first weekend of my membership I had three guests. Really great ones, each of them. Well, actually the last member to participate our party joined us just from museum. Trading some makaroni and meat to a very interesting lecture of kidneys was in my opinion more than fair trade :)
Since then there has been more and more guests via CS and HC with lots of good memories. Thank you all!
Interests
All kinds of animals, books, agriculture, traditional finnish (local) food and bakings, walking in the forests, backpacking, fishing, almost all nature-ings. Reindeer, cows and dogs are my long-time favourites.

Music, Movies, and Books
If I have to name only one movie, it would be Forrest Gump. It made an influence when I was young(er).
I listen almost anything except disco or trance, radio is always open.
I like reading a lot, at home I read mostly fiction or biographies, even fairy tales.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't remember anything really "large-scale amazing thing".
For me a small, mirror-like lake in the middle of silent forest at night, birds singing and fire burning is amazing enough. Or a sunrise or sunset in the winter when you can not tell whether the sun is rising or setting.
Small things are often the most amazing ones.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am able to tell you a lot of things of reindeer.
It would be interesting to see how you cook. Or just find out your reactions to my traditional Finnish food ;)
