ABOUT ME

I am an adventurer- I've traveled throughout many countries and love to meet new people. I like to lay low, relax, etc.

I come from a big family with lots of kids. My mother is still around and lives with me. My sisters live all over the USA, and several have lived abroad at one point or another. We are an eclectic, open-minded family.

I began traveling with a study abroad opportunity to Perth, Western Australia, and I just never stopped. I traveled quite a bit, though nowadays, I cannot travel with the job I have. :-(

I am not a big party animal anymore, but I would love to meet up with people and just do some sightseeing or just enjoy Washington, DC. I am a big BIG bicycle lover, so I do much of my commuting and traveling around town by bicycle. If you love bicycles, we will get along extra well! :-)

PHILOSOPHY

No regrets- no "shoulda, coulda, woulda" type stuff. I like to look at how things are and not what it could have been or anything like that. I have to live in the moment and see the world and view how my actions affect the people around me. I want to see how you are, spend time with you, and walk away with a broader world view. Of course, I also want you to see that Americans can be wonderful people too!

Hmmmm.... coffee, of course. I am not big into arguing- I'm a lover, not a figher! :-P But I do like to talk about world events and learn about you and how you view the world. I respect people's way of life and their thinking. I love to bicycle and hike. We have a great hiking/biking trail network in Washington, DC! I love reading, but hey...who wants to travel thousands of miles to sit with their host and read?

Movies: I just don't like crazy violent movies
Music: So varied! I really listen to most genres of music. Maybe not some types of really heavy metal, but I listen to just about anything. I really do like R & B best, though.
Books: So many! Fiction, Non-fiction, Science fiction... I am a book freak! :-)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was in Vietnam, and when I was in Ho Chi Minh, I got on a rickshaw and asked this guy who was driving to show me the real Vietnam! So he took me on these backroads and through the poorer sections of the city. I got to meet the people of Vietnam, learned some Vietnamese, and really had an amazing cultural experience. I was lucky to be able to go off the beaten path of the usual dry, guidebook experience!
