About Me

CURRENT MISSION

change myself. change the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently trying to get into medical school, working for a biomedical research company and trying to dance the rest of my life away. I love cycling, running, playing capoeira, learning tricks, dancing, and drinking good beer. And studying languages too.

PHILOSOPHY

l'enfer, c'est l'auto

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted people, I've met cool people in foreign cities that showed me things I wouldn't have otherwise have seen about those cities and have remained close friends with them. This is a great website! I will reply to your couch request if you give me an explanation of your travels and goals. I like good beer, ballroom dancing, and being a monkey in the park. So I can show you good places to do those things.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted 2 couch surfers in Seattle and been hosted on Jeju, Island in South Korea. I've also met up with a lot of cool people all over Korea through this site. I'm especially keen to host International travelers from Japan, Korea, China, and Spanish or Portuguese speaking countries. I'm also down to host traveling artists and long-distance bicyclists, and people who are just trying to avoid a hotel stay on their journey.

Music, Movies, and Books

Dostoevsky, Catfish and Mandala by Andrew Pham, Vietnam War literature, I like Im Kwon Taek and Kurosawa for film.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I heard 100 drummers whose hands were a blazin'
heard 10,000 whisperin' and nobody listenin'
heard one person starve, I heard many people laughin'
heard the song of a poet who died in the gutter
heard the sound of a clown who cried in the alley

Teach, Learn, Share

My favorite thing to study is dance and martial arts, particularly improvisational dance, particularly capoeira de angola. I also like bicycle maintenance/building and languages.

I'd like to learn Korean drumming, salsa dance, motorcycle riding/maintenance and Taekkyeon. And to play the banjo well. Some day.

Countries I’ve Visited

Ghana, Japan, Nicaragua, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam
