Overview
About Me
I'm a French-born Vietnamese and naturalized Canadian; currently living and working in Hong Kong.
I used to work as a lawyer, before quitting and backpacking in Europe and Southeast Asia for a few months. I decided there was more out there to explore and I want to keep doing it, but I also don't want to live the digital nomad life many travellers dream of. Why not see the world, and have a meaningful and lucrative career at the same time? Why not simply free myself professionally from geographical ties? I felt that with my background and some perseverance, it might as well just be possible!
My goal is to live and build a career internationally, so I use couchsurfing to immerse myself and try to live as the locals would. Learning about the place through locals and exchanging our experiences is a great way to become a more open and cosmopolite person.
I also use the opportunity to network, scout for potential opportunities and find out about how people do business where I go, always planning things in my head.
As a guest, I'm pretty clean and tidy with my own stuff but also with the hosts'. I can get by exploring and finding out things for myself, and this is usually how I do things, but I also welcome hangouts and meeting new people! In particular, I love learning about languages; please teach me yours and will teach you French, my first language!
