Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all, this is all about inspiration.
In daily routine, it's easy to forget who you are and where you are headed.
Traveling and meeting people widens the horizon and gives you experience to be inspired by.
I am also a fan of discovering the place I'm living at and sharing the knowledge with others. Why not using me as local to show you around if there's such opportunity?

Interests

I have always been a techy guy.
Besides that, recently I found myself interested in different kinds of boards (snowboard, longboard, and almost surfing). For snowboarding, I've visited Georgia only so far, but I've been also skiing in Ukraine before.
Besides that, I find it extremely interesting to figure out how human languages work. I grew up in a bilingual environment: my native language is Russian but I can freely use Ukrainian. And it works the way around for Ukrainian speakers. Understanding Ukrainian makes it possible for me to clearly understand Belarussian and understand words and constructions from Chech, Polish or Slovakian. Then, I've been learning German for a while and now when I'm learning Estonian I keep finding it outstanding how it's much easier to understand the language if you have both Slavic and Germanic background. Or take Dutch - it's a mix of English and German for me but for English or German only speakers Dutch is totally messed up. Crazy!
And, for the record, I'm trying to learn to play harp but no big luck on this field yet. :c
