About Me
Officially settled down in Germany
About me:
Originally from Poland, but since 4 years living and travelling abroad (Germany/United Stated).
In June 2021, I moved to work in Texas as a researcher (Fulbright scholarship) for a year. Living in the United States was an incredible experience. Especially solo-travelling and meeting new people on the way, was one of my favorites' thing to do as I could learn so much about new culture and different mindsets.
Now, I want to share my experiences and story with other, as well as getting to know theirs. I simply find great joy in exploring the great variety of cultures and seek for kindred spirits who are willing to share their amazing experiences.
Keywords about me:
- Curious, fun-loving guy, always up to do sth new or fun
- Researcher at day, scuba diver at night
- In love with any water sport
- Super outdoorsy
- Great at cooking stuff
- Loves a good conversation
- Quirky, dark, ironic humor :)
- Jazz fan
- Definitely a dog-person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe, that travelling is not only limited to going and seeing new things, but also immersing into foreign culture and understanding how to see the world through other people's eyes. My initial experiences with CS made me realized, that getting to know people and exchanging our stories is empowering for me.
Also, I love solo-travelling and meeting locals on the way is always an amazing experience, no matter where!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have 3 to mention:
1. One-week bike trip from Kraków (Poland) to Budapest (Hungary). I traveled through Slovakia mountains, slept in a tent and was invited by the locals to drink some tinctures with them.
2. I did a 2-week scuba diving license on Elba (in the middle of my academic year). Admiring the underwater world at night was one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced. Passed everything anyway ;)
3. Perhaps the craziest thing I did. I drove all the way from Las Vegas to Dallas in the Crazy Taxi themed car given to us by a random Texan guy, with a bunch of strangers from the airport, and still lived to tell the tale!
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to be a competitive kayaker, swimmer and then switched to scuba diving. If you feel you want to do some water sports - I am your guy.
I can show you some Polish recipes and/or cook with you!
I can tell you how it is to live in Poland, Scotland, Germany and United States, I lived in each of these countries at least 8 months and each was absolutely different.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I missed my Polish bread so much that I started to bake it myself. There are not many better feelings than tasting some fresh, warm bread. My friends and lab mates absolutely loved it. I am happy to bake my signature sourdough bread for anyone, it is simply too good to not share it with others.
