Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been to some meetups in the Boston area and met some fabulous people! I'm on couchsurfing to hear about events around Boston that have interesting people from abroad visiting, as well as to hopefully participate in some events and meet interesting people abroad.

Interests

Riding bikes, making pizza, drinking beer.

I'm a big bicycle nerd. Road bikes and folding bikes. In particular I find that the best way to tour a foreign place is by bike, as it really allows you to feel the essence of a place, and the entire spectrum of experiences on the ground while at the same time providing the kind of mobility and independence that allows you to explore without getting overwhelmed by the prospect of just getting around.

Some of my best travelling memories revolve around taking out a bike and getting lost and then by some miracle finding my way back in places like Wrocław and Munich.

Biking ~500mi around Nova Scotia has been one of the most mentally challenging challenges I've conquered in 2015.
