I met Miloš from Belgrade. First he showed us his wonderful city and than two months later he hosted us at his flat in BGD. Great experience, I am ready to meet other CS!

Warsaw - the capital city of Poland and a wonderful city where i live

1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VK2eW_AY4-I This is a view from 1945. After Polish Home Army and Warsaw citizens fought 63 days in uprising against Germans, Hitler decided to destroy the polish capital city. Here is quote of Himmler:
"Mein Fuhrer! From the historical point of view is a blessing that Poles are fighting. We will beat them within 5-6 weeks (in fact it was 9 weeks! - KK). But then Warsaw - the capital city, intelligence center of this 15-16 million country, will be crushed! This nation block our way to East since XV century. But after this the Polish problem for our children and for all who come after us, and even for us - is no longer any great problem of history." Germans destroyed 80% of Warsaw with bombs and flames.

2)But just after the war Poles started to rebuild their capital city and now it looks like this:

This makes me really proud of my city!
I love walking here and discover new places, pubs, resaurants, views!
