About Me

Energetic person, who loves to travel and meet new people. I'm trying to take from my life as much as I can. Or even more!

Currently I'm staying in Oslo, Norway working as an Engineer in AEC branch.

Or maybe one day I'll throw this all away and start a neverending journey :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to catch up with different people. Listen to what they have to say about their countries, sharing one another our funny customs differences. It's unbelievable how many differences we have and still are same humans, having great time together!

Interests

As a graduate of civil engineering one of the interests in my journeys comes to the architectural miracles - I saw many monumental cathedrals, town halls, stadions, skyscrapers etc.

I want to experience and feel exotic architecture of both our ancestors and contemporaries. Starting from pyramids or Angkor Wat, through modern revitalization of the cities, finishing on the most known buildings of modern star-architects.

In my journeys though, that is not only architecture that interests me, but most of all - people. How do they live, their approach to life, they opinions on the world. Every person I have met in my travels, be it co-traveller or host, had something interesting to express! That is why I love backpacking combined with hitchhiking as often, as possible! :)

Journey is all about diving into culture we are visiting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music in general is good, old rock combined with newer but alternative sounds e.g.:
- Pink Floyd
- Led Zeppelin
- The Doors
- Nine Inch Nails
- Porcupine Tree
- Smashing Pumpkins

Talking of books, I love reading classics and historical fiction, eg.
- Lord of the Rings trilogy
- Master and Margaret
- Sienkiewicz's trilogy
- The Witcher by Sapkowski
- Hussite's trilogy
- The Saxons' Stories

As well as non-fiction and business books:
- Vagabonding
- Essentialist
- Getting Things Done
- 4 Hours Work Week

Movies and Series:
- Vikings
- Inception
- The Prestige
- Lost (first series I watched and soooo amazing!)
- House M.D.
- Tarantino movies, especially Reservoir Dogs and Inglorious Bastards

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wrote my Master Thesis in one month! I still cannot believe it actually had happened :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Polish and Norwegian.

I love learning about other countries history and customs. I love learning how to cook new, simple dishes - if you know an easy-to-make national food - you've just got a new apprentice ;)

I can share travel stories, fun facts and beer in a pub ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some hitchhiking stories, Polish and Norwegian cousine specialties and language.

Also few Polish tongue twisters which makes everybody hopeless as this is one of the hardest to learn languages ;)

If I'm travelling from Poland than of course best-in-the-world Polish vodka (especially famous are the hazelnut or raspberry ones) or if you don't drink alcohol it can be super delicious sweets. Or both ;)
If travelling from Norway than e.g. special kind of cheese, called brunost - you won't find it anywhere outside Norway.

And of course lots of energy and good buzz!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Laos, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Norway, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Ukraine

Countries I’ve Lived In
