I am a young guy from Jelgava, Latvia, who moved to Riga recently. I am renting a 1-room flat and have only one key set, so it's unlikely I will host someone in near future, but it is possible to hang out a little in Riga or Jelgava.
I like listening music, playing different kind of musical intruments, reading books, riding bicylce, playing comuter games, running.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to try Couchsurfing when I was planing my visits to Warsaw and Stockholm during my vacation in 2017. I didn't manage to find host in Poland, but I found a great one in Sweden, so my first experince was good and I am looking forward to continue couchsurfing.
I find it interesting to meet new people from different places and to get familiar with new countries by geting in touch with its inhabitants - thus I can learn things and features of culture which no guide can provide :D
I believe, that every country and city is not represented only by its architecture and sights, but its also the people living there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am most in heavy music, i.e. different kinds metal, alternative, metalcore, rock, some of my faivorite bands are Teseract, Gojira, Baroness, Architects, As I Lay Dying , SOAD, Korn, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Avenged Sevenfold.
I like also to listen some OSTs from videogames or movies, sometimes I listen classic and pop music from 80 - 90's :)
I like to play many musical instruments and to compose. I play mostly electric guitar, I am also familiar with ukulele, djembe and accoustic guitar.

I like to read a lot, my favorite genres are science fiction, biografy, adventures. My favorite author so far is Kurt Vonnegut.

When it comes to movies.... well I don't watch them very often. My goal is to watch every movie form IMDB TOP 250 sometime))
I enjoy every movie by Christofer Nolan, my favorite TV series are Dexter (not that one with laboratorym, but one with a knife :D), Adventure Time, Metalcalypse.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have learned Norwegian in 4,5 months to work as computer systems administrator with Norwegian customers.
