About Me

ABOUT ME
My profile was inactive for quite a while but I WILL RESPOND now, even if the response rate is low. :)

They would probably say, that still waters run deep^^. I am friendly and polite and would help everyone, even if I dont have time for it. One thing that friends always laugh about is my bias from time to time to grab my bagpack, drive to the airport and take the next cheapest flight I can take, whithout a preferred destination. For me, this is the ultimate freedom and adventure not to know what will expect me. Based on these experiments I learned to stay calm in stressful, unpredictable situations. A characteristic of me, a lot of friends often rely on, sometimes a little bit too much.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have done quite a lot of airbnb lately and have found that the opportunities where i stayed in the apartment with the hosts were the best ways to meet new people and really get an insight into the culture i am visiting with the help of a local. I love the idea to offer your house, your couch and your expertise of the city you are living in to a person who is traveling the world to learn about other cultures.

Interests

At the moment I am in the universitys dancesport team competing against other universities and in the english latin formation dance team competing internationally. Additionally I dance Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and Argentine Tango. Besides that and the study there is not much time left^^. If there is i love to go to art exhibitions and travel obviously.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in Mexico for research purpose for a few months and there I was working in a hydrogen sulfur cave. It was one of the weirdest moments in my entire life to stay in the almost dark, hot cave in the heart of mexico and seeing a spider as big as my hand sitting on a stone close to me. Really strange!!! but an experience I dont wanna miss.

When I was 15 I had a school internship in the biological department of the university in frankfurt. I always loved science and was fascinated by the university. I remember standing in front of the main building and thinking, wow, this would be awesome to study biology!!! But the end of school was so far away. Four years later I was standing at exactly the same place in front of the building as a newly immatriculated student and thought: Yes, thats it^^

What I Can Share with Hosts

Of course i can teach you all kinds of dances if you are interested in that. Otherwise i really like to cook and enjoy making and sharing food with others.
