About Me

Hi, it's nice to meet you. My name is Konstantin, I'm 25, I was born in Minsk, Belarus (hope you can show my country on a globe), and have lived for the past 5 years in Barcelona, Spain.
As everyone here, I love to travel, and I can say that I've been to a decent number of countries, but each time I look at a world map, I understand that I still have too many places to visit and see.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I've said, there are still too many places to visit around the world, too many people to talk to and learn from, and too much knowledge to acquire. For all these things, Couchsurfing seems like the best option.

Interests

I do have my own set of interests, but I am more than happy to talk with people about pretty much anything, given they are (i) really passionate about it and (ii) they are passionate about it not just for the sake of taking instagram photos.

Music, Movies, and Books

As I am writing all this, I am listening to Joy Division - Shadowplay, so this puts you in a context.
I love music and up until recent couple of years I thought that modern music is dead, but I am discovering new artists (ATW, Connan Mockasin, techno producers, Snarky Puppy) from diverse styles and feeling like the music is more alive than ever now.
Couple of my favourite movies: eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, lobster, antonioni's english language trilogy.
Couple of my favourite books: all the books from J.R.R. Tolkien, Remarque, "An american tradegy" by Dreiser.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Met and talked to Stanislav Shushkevich, the first prime-minister of independent Belarus and one of the signees of the treaty that ended the soviet union.
