Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION:
To appreciate all the blessings and curves that life brings my way. I am recently re-logging into this account after quite a long absence.
ABOUT ME:
Hi! My name is Aaron. Simply put, I'm an artist soaking up every second of life that I can. I recently moved back to Detroit after living in Xalapa, Mexico for 2 years, and Berlin, Germany for 8.
I work as a video artist, experimental photographer, and visual artist. Looking to meet new people and travel around the country spending as much time in nature.
PHILOSOPHY:
Embrace your rough edges and know its ok to be "weird" - also, to not discount how magical and mysterious life can be.
Other than that...
1. Dance! (whether at a party on the beach, or in line at the supermarket)
2. Take risks
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Im re-logging in after a number of years away. I love to meet new people, looking to connect with people all over the USA. I am not currently set up for couch surfers just yet, but its something I am aiming to finally make happen, cause I love the idea
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Its not really a couch story - but the way i traveled was similar in spirit:
In June of 2004, I packed my bag the morning I left for London. Spent a month backpacking in Europe. Went to Paris, Amsterdam, Katowice (Poland), Rome and then attended a six week 16mm film class in Florence, Italy. After that, I decided to take a train to Sicily....yeah, you heard me right - they put the train on a boat! Anyway - didnt have any money so i slept on the beach for 2 nights then found a job as a dishwasher at a restaurant. They fed me & let me sleep in the bar. I worked there for 2 weeks til i had enough money to take a boat to Naples. Made it to Rome where I had a flight waiting to take me back to London – then home. Everyone there was so very kind – they got a kick out of seeing an “Americano” come to Italy to find work.
