About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am a sponge, and my mission is to saturate myself with the very greatest experiences.
ABOUT ME
I am a young adventurer, an artist, and a filmmaker. I am a sign post to elsewhere.
I am usually with my dog Chica, but unfortunately not right now. I am a desert dweller who loves dripping forests, and I am currently studying again at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. I grew up an engineer and switched to an artist, but I am still both. I a very positive because I have not found anything that I wanted to do and couldn't, nor met a person who did not teach me something new.
PHILOSOPHY
"Experience everything" fits my views, but there are some things I stay away from on purpose..."Never look back" sounds right, but sometimes I do, for the learning. I am Pantheist. I agree with "love thy neighbor" but I also like to love everyone else too. I often say and practice "sharing is caring". I don't do things that I don't enjoy, but sometimes I have to find the joy in something once I do it for this to be true.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am interested in participation. I prefer to have time to do so, though sometimes I am worn out. Without exception I clean after myself, minimize my impact, and leave no trace when I leave. I recognize what I receive, and try to give in return. I endeavor to consider others when I talk, and try to speak on interesting subjects, keeping the mundane to myself. I am a decent cook, I have my specialties, and usually have food with me to share. When I finish a book I usually find an appreciative new home for it with someone else. Sharing is caring.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing may be the most consistent thing in all my experiences. I usually choose where to go based on a person I have met who I know I can stay with. I met all my favorite friends through one side or the other of this generosity, and as the web of friendly experiences grows, I feel at home everywhere more than anywhere. My favorite couch surfing experience was when a friend I met in Ecuador offered that I stay in his friends barn in Olympia on my way up the west coast. When I arrived there were 10 people camping in and around this barn-converted for living with a stove, compost toilet and loft. I loved all of them and being there so much that I did not go any further north on my trip to Vancouver B.C. but stayed in Oly for two weeks, and eventually moved there a year later my experience was so positive.
