CURRENT MISSION
To become fluent in Spanish and to walk the 800km Camino de Santiago
ABOUT ME
I'm easy-going, friendly and mostly happy go lucky. I'm quite tidy and happy to do the dishes as a thank you for giving me a room! I'm a journalist so I'm really interested in the different ways people live and think across the world, which is the main reason I'm drawn to Couchsurfing. Obviously, I love to write and I'm slowly learning the art of photography, too (any tips gratefully accepted!). I'm quite tall and a little uncoordinated. I don't really like cold weather all that much. I'm vegetarian and I love cuddling animals, especially cats. In recent years I've started a nice trend of one overseas holiday each year. And this year I'm taking that one step further and moving to Spain!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm travelling Europe this year and keen to get to know a bunch of different cities from the perspective of wonderful local people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing is the best! I've surfed in Indonesia, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania and always had the best times with super amazing people. I wouldn't want to travel any other way.
Interests
There's the obvious ones - music, books (especially classical literature), films, horse riding, swimming, walking. I play a little guitar and like to sew, mostly modifying dresses from thrift shops. I co-write a blog with my sister about cooking, crafting and kind-living (thelittlegreenhouse.net). I'm a bit of a lightweight so not really the adventure type. But, somewhat randomly, I have both a boat and forklift licence. I love morning coffees and huge pots of tea.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once took a flight over Mt Everest, which was pretty amazing.
And I was awestruck by the ruins of ancient temples in northern Cambodia, where trees were slowly reclaiming the site.
