About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get the real experience of new places through the people who know it best. I would also like to share that experience with people who may be new to my area.

ABOUT ME

I am a Midwest kid who grew up in the underground music scene. I have surfed many a couch in my days, and loved the experiences. I love people and find people's stories to be the most rich and vibrant sources of the human experience.

PHILOSOPHY

I am insatiably curious about all things. I have my own personal set of beliefs, but am always open to all experiences, ideas, and world views. I love people and want to learn everything I possibly can about individual experiences and stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would be glad to show people around or offer a couch to stay on if need be.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Informally, I have slept on shared many couches in my several years of being in bands. I have also lived in many communal settings where sharing a couch was a very acceptable norm. I have only hosted a few times, but have had very positive experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can appreciate most films, and I love many of them. I grew up on 90's alternative, punk, and indie rock. I like good rap and hip-hop as well as a some pop music. I have lately been enjoying some science fiction novels as well as some good non-fiction in my area of interests. As far as non-fiction I like books about psychology, behavioral economics, and life experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing seems like a heavy term and maybe I am a bit too modest for classifying anything I have done as amazing. I have seen most of the US, toured with bands, and met some incredible people. We will need to hang out sometime and talk if you would like the details.

Teach, Learn, Share

My educational background is in Psychology, specifically social/cognitive. I have played music most of my life and have been in several bands. I am open to learning anything and love to share life experiences.
