About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Never get old!

ABOUT ME

Hi!

I'm Uriel. I'm a french software engineering student, and I like to travel. I juggle (I can teach you the basics, if you want!), I teach programming, and I like to fiddle with stuff to see how it works. I also cook!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to rationalize a lot of things. It gets hard when some things are irrational in life. I tend to stick to strong principles. Above all, I like to solve problems.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not so much - I surfed only during my visit of London (it was great!) and I hosted a few people in Paris and in Zurich.

Interests

I spend most of my time making software work. I can spend days on small problems. Yeah, I'm geeky.

But I also :
- juggle
- cook
- travel (when I can)
- teach (I love it!)
- learn (I love it even more) what I can
- plan events (small stuff and big stuff. I've moved 800 people to a camping site 400km away without them knowing where we were going, and we were 5 organizers).

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch very few movies. Mostly great SF classics.

I love music. Mostly : rock, electroswing, chiptune, classical, french "new wave".

I don't read as much as I used to. My latest great reading experience was "Gödel, Escher, Bach" (Douglas Hofstadter)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- bungee jumping
- seeing whales in the bay of San Francisco

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the basics of juggling pretty quickly. I used to teach programming for a living but it takes some time - if you're patient, though, I can show you some stuff.

I want to learn new languages. But I'm a bit too lazy to learn them fully...

Countries I’ve Visited
