ABOUT ME

I'm a curious person, I love to travel and learn as much as possible about the cultures I encounter. I'm a pretty calm person and I like to take it easy. I enjoy art and creativity. Most of all, I enjoy cinema, photography and theatre.

I live with my 3 year old son and my girlfriend. We also have 2 cats. Being a family who loves to travel, we know how difficult it can be to find a host. If you're traveling with children, you're more than welcome to stay with us. Of course, we're also interested in meeting you if you don't have children.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travel, I host and I surf.

When I'm travelling, I enjoy being hosted by like-minded people. Often, my hosts became friends and some of them came to Montreal and I got to return the favor.

When I'm hosting, I find that being in contact with travellers is much like travelling at home. I like helping out travellers and showing them around town. Locals know more about their city than what you can find in travel guides and on the Internet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed a few and I hosted a few and I made a few friends along the way. I only had great experiences!

I've hosted more than I've surfed. So far, I've only surfed 2 times and it's funny because both persons who hosted me came to Montreal later on and I had the chance to return the favor. In total I've hosted about 10 times.

Interesses

cinema, photography, music, theatre, art, animals, travelling, taking naps in parks, people who look like klaus kinski, good food and good drinks, eating corn, etc.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

I listen to a lot of indie rock. Montreal has a pretty interesting music scene and I listen to a lot of local bands. I'm open to any kind of music.

I enjoy reading comic books like american splendor, the boys, the walking dead, or anything by Garth Ennis, Gotlib, Jodo, etc.

When I go to a cinema theatre, I enjoy watching films by Alain Resnais, David Lynch, Errol Morris, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Costa Gavras, Spike Lee, Michel Gondry, George Romero, the Coen brothers, Simon Pegg, etc. I also enjoy experimental cinema. For instance, I like the work of Stan Brakhage, Arthur Lipsett, Kenneth Anger, etc.
I think that in order to present some interest, a film or art in general needs to present a new way of seeing or feeling things.

We live in a house in a quiet neighborhood of Montreal called Ahuntsic. Parks, public transportation, grocery stores, etc. are all within walking distance. We can offer you a place on our hideaway bed in our living room or your own private room with a foam mattress.
